The State Prosecutor's Office has submitted a request to the Supreme Court to appeal the decision of a district court, which rejected the state's petition for a harsher sentence of former deputy police commissioner Nissim Mor. Mor received a suspended sentence of prison time and public service work on his convictions for sexual harassment and breach of trust.

In its request, the Prosecutor's Office noted that "the issue of the punishment imposed on Mor raises a general legal-public question that concerns the appropriate punishment for public servants who exploit their position and rank and violate public trust by mixing their work and their sexual desires and exploiting their subordinates for them."
