The Beersheva District Court rejected the claims of tens of farmers against the state of Israel, who  maintained that they had a government commitment and that the state had been negligent regarding provision of permits to employ foreign workers.

The plaintiffs claimed that there was a gap between the amount of workers stated in permits and the number of workers employed in practise and that the matter had caused huge damage to farms. The plaintiffs sued for 18,755,000 NIS in damages.

The court rejected their claims and ordered them to pay court costs.
