MK Nahman Shai (Zionist Union) responded to the UN General Assembly rejection of Jerusalem's status as Israel's capital.
"This is a black day for the international community which has ignored the legitimate will of a country to determine its capital. Despite the fact that the resolution was adopted by a large majority, it changes nothing on the ground. Jerusalem is our capital and will remain open to all religions, " Shai said.
He added that "maybe its time the state of Israel invested the proper amount of resources in Jerusalem so that it will be worthy of the title capital of Israel.
