Interior Minister Aryeh Deri approved, Thursday, a half-year extension of work permits for about 3,000 foreign workers in the construction industry who have been in Israel for more than five years.
The visas of the workers, most of them from China, have expired. The decision was made in order to prevent harm to construction in Israel, and until the arrival of new workers.
