The Bar Association has decided to promote Tel Aviv District Court Judge Khaled Kaboub, considered one of the most respected judges among district judges, for election to the Supreme Court, according to Yediot Ahronot.
If selected, he will be the first Muslim to serve a regular term on the panel. Other Arabs to serve regular terms were Christians. The term of the only other Muslim in the history of the Supreme Court was temporary.
