Prime Minister Netanyahu thanked the outgoing coalition chairman, MK David Bitan, for his dedication, professionalism, and loyalty. Bitan resigned on Wednesday and was replaced by MK David Amsalem.
Netanyahu said that Amsalem's most important task would be to pass the Nationality Law, "one of the most important laws that will enter the history pages of the State of Israel".
