Israel's Chief Rabbi David Lau implored Ramat Hasharon Mayor Avi Gruber not to close the city's Hesder Yeshiva.
Rabbi Lau wrote to the mayor that "there is no need to elaborate on the importance of Torah study, and it is appropriate to seek a way to continue the existence of this Torah in Ramat Hasharon".
