MK Sharren Haskel (Likud) referred to the announcement that Channel 20 will be closed and said that "a communications channel which is closed due to over regulation is a failure of democracy."
"The double standard adopted by the Cable Council in its supervision of Channel 20 must be stopped. The council creates regulatory chaos and lack of clarity. Sometimes it allows Channel 20 to broadcast news and sometimes it prohibits such broadcasts."
