An investigation conducted by the Israel Defense Forces shows no moral or professional failure in the death of a disabled rioter on the Gaza border during disturbances last Friday.
No live ammunition was fired at Ibrahim Abu-Thuria. An IDF statement said, "In spite of the IDF's requests, the exact details and conclusions regarding the characteristics of Abu Toriya's wounds were not received during the investigation, and if additional details are received they will be examined and studied."
