Hareidi religious court: Add prayer to address lack of rain

The Beit Din (religious court) of the Eda Hahareidit has ordered "Aneinu Boreh Olam" supplement to the "Shema' Koleinu" blessing of the Amidah standing prayers to address the lack of sufficient rain.

In the announcement, it was said that "the cry of farmers who keep Torah and mitzvot comes to us, and with great sorrow they complain because of the rain that has not yet fallen, and the earth is thirsty for the rain of the sky." The Chief Rabbinate recently issued a similar order. Last night more than a thousand people participated in the reading and finishing of the mystical book the Zohar at the Yeshivat Nefer Shalom Yeshiva in Jerusalem, led by the Kabbalist Rabbi Benayahu Shmueli. During the event, the participants prayed a prayer related to the stopping of the rain.
