Rabies has been found in a month-old calf in Moshav Nahalal in the Jezreel Valley Region. The Ministry of Health requests that anyone who has been in contact with the infected animal or a stray animal in the area or has animals that may have come into contact to urgently go to a hospital emergency room to consider preventive treatment.
The ministry wishes to transmit the information about the incident to hikers and vacationers in the area. Parents of children are asked to clarify with their children whether they have been in contact with suspicious animals and to contact the Health Bureau urgently. Pet owners are requested to contact their veterinarian to verify their immunization status.
