Police on Road 1 east of Maale Adumim noticed a Palestinian car which had stopped in a suspicious manner at the side of the road.
Police advanced towards the car and saw a bag containing a hunting rifle thrown out of the car.
The driver of the car and two other suspects were taken for interrogation.
