CEO Kare Schultz of Teva Pharmaceutical Industries said on Thursday that the layoff of 14,000 workers around the world over the next two years was among "decisions that I do not take lightly but are necessary to ensure Teva's future."
Schultz added, "The company will implement the changes fairly and respectfully to our colleagues in all over the world."
