Minister of Economics and Industry Eli Cohen said Thursday that following talks held by the government with the heads of Teva Pharmaceuticals, it was decided to remove workers from the Negev and the Galilee from the firing circle.
Cohen said, "We will continue to work with the company to reduce layoffs in other areas as well." Cohen's comments came before Teva said it will lay off 14,000 workers worldwide over the next two years.
