Chairwoman Shelly Yechimovich of the Knesset State Control Committee is calling on Finance Minister Moshe Kahlon to intervene immediately in the crisis at Teva Pharmaceutical Industries, which is expected to announce the dismissal of 3,000 of its 7,000 employees in Israel.

The Zionist Union lawmaker said, "The Treasurer's ignoring and evasion of the current economic and social crisis is puzzling and outrageous, especially given the fact that only he and the chairman of the Histadrut [Labor Federation] have effective tools to create a balance of terror that will make it clear to Teva that its violent conduct will cost it dearly."
