Police received a report about a 53-year-old man who intended to barricade himself in his Eilat home with his young daughter and there was a concern that he might harm her.
Police arrived at the scene and saw the man screaming in the courtyard. He then ran into the house and police found him with an open gas canister lying on the young girl.
Police arrested the suspect and rescued the girl. One policeman suffered from gas inhalation.
The suspect is being interrogated by police.
