The official value of the shekel rose an average of .055 percent on Monday in mixed trading against the featured currencies on the Bank of Israel foreign-exchange list.
The United States dollar was fixed at NIS 3.49, up .057 percent from Friday, while the Euro declined .383 percent to 4.1362 shekels and the pound sterling was set at NIS 4.7138, up .164 percent. The Canadian dollar jumped 1.527 percent to 2.753 shekels, easing off after recent sharper gains, and the Australian dollar was fixed at NIS 2.6533, up .268 percent.
