Defense Minister Avigdor Liberman on Friday expressed support for the Jew who opened fire at Arab rioters following the lynching attempt near the community of Migdalim in Samaria.

The Jew was questioned by the police after one of the Arab rioters was killed as a result of the shooting.

"Yesterday, rioters from the village of Kusra set out to lynch children who were on a Bar Mitzvah trip in Samaria. The use of weapons for self-defense is a moral value which the law in every democratic regime protects," Liberman said, adding, "I am grateful to the parent who saved the hikers from the real and immediate danger to their lives."
