Dalit Zilber, director of planning at the City of Real Estate Conference of the Israeli Building Center in Eilat, said on Thursday that there is a target for the establishment of 2.6 million housing units in Israel by 2040, of which 900 thousand housing units will be in urban renewal, and 450 thousand housing units in the Arab sector.

Speaking during the conference's final panel, Zilber was presenting the strategic plan for planning and construction in Israel to 2040, when the population of the country is expected to double, alongside the increase in life expectancy and the end of life expectancy of many buildings in Israel.
