The Movement for Quality Government has submitted a petition to the Supreme Court demanding the cancellation of the passage of the first reading of the Recommendation Law for violating Knesset regulations, according to Channel 10 Television. The movement claims that the passing of the law in the Interior Committee is illegal and wants to cancel its decisions.

A heated debate was held Thursday morning in the committee. Member of Knesset Tamar Zandberg (Meretz) attacked the recommendations law during the Knesset Internal Affairs Committee debate, calling it "a contemptible and corrupt law, with despicable and corrupt timing designed to defend a despised and corrupt prime minister." The law would bar publication of police recommendations to prosecutors in the summaries of their criminal investigations. It would not apply to investigations currently under way.
