The Tel Aviv District Court issued a directive preventing the Uber private car driving service from providing services in Israel.
The judge demanded that the company provide proper insurance which would cover the passengers and said that otherwise they constitute a danger to passengers.
The insurance required for a car which travels more on the roads and takes passengers is usually higher than that of private cars and therefore Uber will be required to pay higher insurance.
