Transportation and Intelligence Minister Yisrael Katz referred in his speech at the Knesset session marking 70 years since November 29th 1947 to the issue of transferring the US embassy to Jerusalem and addressed his words to US Vice President Mike Pence who participated in the ceremony.
"I address you in my name and in the name of the Israeli government. It's time that the US recognized Jerusalem, the eternal capital of the Jewish nation for 3000 years, as the capital of Israel. It's time to fulfill the promise of President Trump and the vision of the prophets and transfer the American embassy to Jerusalem."
