A 48-year-old Palestinian Arab was arrested last night on suspicion of breaking into a house in the Jerusalem area and stealing valuable property. An indictment will be filed against him today and the police will request an extension of his detention until the end of proceedings against him.
The suspect was employed by the owner of the house for external repairs of her house and, while she was away, he noticed the jewelry in her room. He is suspected to have burst into the house through the window, stolen the jewelry and hidden it with the aim of picking it up later.
