The State Control Committee will hold an emergency meeting today over the Teva pharmaceutical company's intention to fire more than 1,000 workers in Israel.
MK Shelly Yachimovich (Zionist Union), who heads the committee, said that "the fact that Teva received tax benefits worth 20 billion shekels over the years necessitates a thorough reexamination of the policy of the excess tax benefits that go to companies like this."
