70 reserve IDF officers including one general and former Chief Medical Officer Aryeh Eldad have sent a letter to Defense Minister Avigdor Liberman entitled: "Stop the rush to integrate girls in combat roles."
The officers,members of the Brothers in Combat organization, say that studies have opposed placing women in combat positions and that training demands have been eased for women and the amount of battle equipment has been lowered, and despite this numerous female soldiers suffered serious medical issues.
The officers called on the Defense Minister to "cancel the Joint Service Command and prevent a serious and unnecessary harming of the IDF's power."
