Chief Rabbi David Lau spoke with Health Minister Yaakov Litzman who resigned from the government Sunday and praised the "action he took for the honor of the Shabbat."
Rabbi Lau said that those who have erased the sanctity of Shabbat are trying also to erase it as a "day of rest" and said that Litzman had sanctified G-d's name by resigning in deference to his rabbi's wishes.
