New law would allow Litzman to serve as deputy minister

Officials close to the prime minister are considering proposing a special law which would allow for the appointment of Yaakov Litzman as a "deputy minister with ministerial power," in order to bypass the Supreme Court decision on the matter which forced Litzman to become a minister.

Litzman is expected to resign his ministerial position Sunday and the proposed law would allow him to continue as a deputy minister in his official position.
