Mk Moshe Gafni (United Torah Judaism) met with Britain's ambassador to Israel David Quarrey and discussed current issues and the UK Jewry's situation.
Gafni told the ambassador that according to present forecasts the government will complete its term and elections are not expected in the near future. However he stressed that haredi parties will not allow fundamental issues like Shabbat desecration and the Enlistment Law to go unanswered.
The ambassador said that he sees importance in maintaining ties with the haredi community as it significantly influences Israeli public and political activity.
