Police announced that they have evidence for an indictment against Avriel Bar-Yosef, who is suspected of crimes of fraud, breach of trust and bribery as well as moneylaundering crimes with the assistance of other people while serving as deputy head of the National Security Council.

Bar-Yosef allegedly received bribes from a German businessman who invested hundreds of thousands of euros in a company owned by Bar-Yosef's relative, as well as other benefits and future promises. In return, Bar-Yosef allegedly promoted the business interests of the German businessman in various echelons, including the Tzemah committee which discussed natural gas arrangements.
