Haaretz publisher Amos Schocken used his Twitter account to post an article by Lior Birger, published in the newspaper, which claims that deporting illegal infiltrators to third-party countries endangers their lives.

Schocken added the following sentence: "The murderers in suits: Eli Yishai, Gideon Sa'ar, Gilad Erdan, Aryeh Deri, Miri Regev, Eilat Shaked, Benjamin Netanyahu." Many Twitter surfers sharply attacked Schocken for using the phrase. Member of Knesset Yehuda Glick, for example, simply tweeted, "murderers?" Others called on the police to open an investigation against Schocken on suspicion of incitement. Schocken himself refrained from responding to these tweets, and contented himself with responding to other claims raised against him.
