Attorney Haim Bleicher of the Honenu legal-aid has written to Jerusalem District Police Commander Niv Yoram Halevi, demanding action against soccer being played on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem's Old City.

Three months ago, a similar letter resulted in stepped up enforcement. Despite some improvement in the situation, Jews who have gone up to the Temple Mount have recently reported on the renewal of the games. The Hozrim Lahar (We're going back to the Mount) movement, complained of a double standard when it came to enforcement of the ban and non-Muslim activities, such as Jewish prayer, on the holy site.
