Dozens of millimeters of rain, corresponding to a few inches, has fallen since yesterday afternoon in northern Israel. Leading the way was the Galilee community of Harashim with 49 mm/1.9", followed by Kibbutz Ayalon at 43.9/1.72. Rosh Hanikra got 30.5/1.2 and Ashdod got 25.8/1.01.
The 13.9/.55 that fell in Tel Aviv was enough to cause flooding in some places. Fire and rescue authorities are preparing for more flooding along the Mediterranean coast, near the Dead Sea and in eastern stream and river beds.
