An operation by the Israel Police and the Poultry Council resulted int he seizure of thousands of eggs in the Neve Shalom neighborhood of Lod, which were allegedly smuggled from Judea and Samaria.
An examination of the eggs raised the suspicion that they were stamped with a fake stamp and had been kept under poor sanitation and without cooling. The eggs were taken for destruction and the man suspected of holding them, a 27-year-old man from Lod, was interrogated under warning of prosecutio by inspectors from the Poultry Council.
