Bill giving preference to IDF minority members approved

The Ministerial Legislative Committee approved the bill proposed by MK Moti Yogev(Jewish Home) to grant preferential status to members of minorities serving in the IDF.

The bill will grant  members of the minorities: Druze, Bedouin,Muslims and Christians who served in the IDF preferential status for public service employment before members of those minorities who have not served in the IDF.

Yogev stated that this rectifies the present situation where those minority members who had not served in the IDF received the same preferential status as those who had.
