President Reuven Rivlin visited the Museum of Tolerance in Los Angeles.
The museum deals with the Holocaust and the Second World War in a modern historical perspective and discusses prejudices of all types which are prevalent in modern society.
Rivlin said that he had arrived as the the president of Israel, "a place which is a safe haven for every Jew and a lighthouse of innovation and power, and this is a victory which fills me with pride."
