'Use budgetary reserves to combat road accidents'

Knesset Deputy Speaker MK Hamed Amar(Yisrael Beytenu) who serves as the director of the lobby for fighting road accidents, described the National Road Safety Day in the Knesset.

Amar said that since 2012 the number of people killed in road accidents has steadily risen, with 331 people killed laready in 2017 and the year not yet over.

He added that the Arab sector suffers 33% of those killed even though only 16% of drivers are Arab. 

Amar concluded with a call on parents: "Take responsibility for your children, don't let them ride on electric bikes before 16 and don't cave in to pressure."

Amar also called on the Finance Minister to allocate budgetary reserves to the fight against road accidents.
