Police sued by youths arrested en route to protest

Four youths, two of them minors, have filed a NIS 120,000 lawsuit against the Israel Police after they were arrested on their way to a demonstration in front of the home of Central District Commander Roni Numa of the Israel Defense Forces in Ramat Gan.

The youths came to protest following administrative restraining orders issued by the general. They are charging false arrest and a series of abusive steps against them. Pending their receipt of the complaint, the police say the claims shown to them do not present the full and accurate picture of what happened.
