Erdan: No to legislation that could harm police work

Public Security Minister Gilad Erdan has responded to an initiative to forbid the police from recommending an indictment by saying, "I will not make it possible to promote legislation that could harm the work of the police, but it [the police -ed] must focus on the tasks that are imposed on it and not be swayed by the advice of external elements that may harm public trust."

However, he noted, "No legislation relating to the police should be categorically dismissed."
