The Knesset Finance Committee has called on the Tax Authority to reduce the level of taxation on medium-sized motorcycles, up to 500 cc, to make it comparable to the rate for motorcycles and scooters up to 125 cc.
Committee Chairman Moshe Gafni said, "Reducing taxes on motorcycles and scooters in general will encourage their use and lead to a significant reduction of traffic congestion, reduce the number of road accidents and even pollution levels, especially in city centers."
