Public Security Minister Gilad Erdan is promoting a private bill to allow police to establish the conditions for conducting terrorist funerals. The bill would allow police not to transfer the bodies of terrorists to their families until they commit to the conditions specified in the proposal.
"Terrorist funerals have become incitement shows which can lead people to go out and perform attacks and we saw this during the huge terrorist funeral in Umm al-Fahm. It is my job as public security minister to prevent such funerals. Funerals will take place when police conditions are fulfilled," Erdan said.
