A 32-year-old Dimona resident was indicted for robbing a 71-year-old resident of Dimona, causing her grievous bodily harm and fleeing the scene without providing help.
Denis Brodowski, the assailant is charged with aggravated assault during robbery and of attacking an elderly person.
The charge stated that Brodowski stood near a bank on October 29th and saw the elderly lady withdraw 2000 NIS from her account, which was part of her NII pension. He then followed her towards her house and pulled the money bag away from her. The woman grabbed Brodowski as he fled and fell onto the floor between the first and second floors of her apartment building.
The woman's granddaughter found her there and summoned medical assistance. She suffered neurological damage and a broken hip and is still hospitalized in Soroka hospital where she requires a long rehabilitation.
