Hundreds of Bank Igud (Union Bank) employees demonstrated this morning outside the bank's board of directors meeting to express their strong opposition to the bank's merger with Mizrahi Tefahot Bank, which intends to dismiss up to 1,200 employees, 70 percent of the staff.
As of the beginning of the week, the bank's employees have stopped transferring data to the Bank of Israel, and the committees intend to intensify the sanctions and protest actions.
