A Bnei Brak couple and their six children were hospitalized at the Maayanei Hayeshua hospital with salmonella poisoning after they dined at a restaurant. They suffered from symptoms of the disease, including vomiting and high fever.

The hospital said most cases of salmonella stem from the purchase of eggs from an unqualified source, the use of eggs past their expiration date or the result of eating homemade ice cream or mayonnaise containing eggs.
