Zionist Union leader Avi Gabbay devotes a large proportion of his speeches to the next elections and to persuading new groups of voters to vote for him. In a recent interview Gabbay reveals that he believes the only goal should be to win the next elections.
In the interview with Forward magazine, Gabbay said that "if I have to decide between an ideological stance and winning the election, I choose winning the election."
Gabbay added that his party has to "speak more Jewishly" and to demonstrate the positive elements of religion and tradition for all the Israelis who see them as an important part of their lives.
