Prime Minister Netanyahu reached an agreement with UN Secretary-General Guterres that all construction by the UN at its Government House location in Jerusalem would be in accord with construction bylaws.

Yet despite this the Regavim organization, which monitors and pursues legal action in the Israeli court system against any construction lacking Israeli permits, discovered that the UN is preparing to raze and reconstruct a building from the British Mandate period, without any municipal building permit.

Regavim petitioned the court regarding the renewed construction and also added that the UN has trespassed onto 30 dunams of state land over the course of the years since 1967.
