The Director-General of the Justice Ministry, Attorney Emi Palmor spoke Tuesday at a senior level session of the UN's anti-Corruption convention in Vienna and responded to attempts by the Palestinian delegate to arouse provocations against Israel.
The Palestinian delegate had complained about Israel's efforts to prevent Palestinian membership in Interpol, the international criminal police organization.
Talmor said in response that "teaming up with Hamas on the one hand and wanting to be part of the global struggle against crime is hypocrisy. The reconciliation agreement with Hamas proves that Israeli concerns about the PA joining Interpol were justified."
