Haifa has launched the cooperative electric vehicle project, which is intended to help reduce air pollution and transportation  problems in the city. The initial fleet will comprise about 40 Renault Zoe electric vehicles with 40 more to be added at the beginning of December and another 20 at the beginning of January.

At NIS 1.2 per minute, the pricing for the service, to be operated by CAR2GO, is between the cost of a bus ride and the cost of a taxi ride, with a two-month no subscription feetrial with , which is 35% -50% less than a taxi ride. Similar systems around the world report that each vehicle in the vehicle sharing system brings about 4-14 vehicles off the road. The project will expand into the Krayot suburbs and thus become a project that has an impact on the entire metropolis.
