A small leak was discovered a little while ago from one of the isotanks of ammonia destined for Israel Chemicals' fertilizers plant in Haifa.
The team of the Association of Towns for the Environment, under the supervision of the Ministry of Environmental Protection, is at the scene. The leaky tank was unloaded from the vessel on which it arrived and isolated for the rest of the controlled treatment in a sealed capsule. The ministry is examining the circumstances of the incident and supervising the emergency operations at the port.
