Chief-of-Staff Gadi Eizenkot of the Israel Defense Forces has recommended to President Reuven Rivlin not to accept the pardon request submitted by former soldier Elor Azariya, who is serving a 14-month manslaughter sentence for shooting a wounded terrorist to death.
