Member of Knesset Oren Hazan (Likud) has attacked Defense Minister Avigdor Liberman's request that President Reuven Rivlin pardon former soldier Elor Azariya, who is serving a 14-month sentence for manslaughter in the death of a wounded terrorist.
Hazan said, "Minister Liberman, it feels like Elor was only a pawn in your chess game on the way to the Kirya [Defense Ministry headquarters -ed.], so settling for your application to the president is no more than lip service. Do something!"
